Beginning in 1975 with a few braiding machines, Atlas Ropes started braiding high quality rope for the Western Canadian market. With increasing demand for a broader variety of ropes, Atlas started outsourcing the braiding operation to larger rope manufacturers in Canada and the USA.
Today Atlas supplies a broad market with bulk rope and braided end EasyTow™ Ropes, including custom splicing and end configurations.
The Atlas plant maintains a number of commercial sewing machines used for a variety of web production from 1" ratchet straps to 8" double nylon EasyTow™ Straps. In addition to lifting slings, many custom web products are produced to meet customers specific requirements. Cargo control web products from ratchet straps to mesh and web cargo nets are a significant part of the operational production.
